As a Product Design Engineer in Apple's Vision Products Group, I played a pivotal role in shaping the future of innovative technology. My work focused on the Vision Pro, where I utilized my advanced NX and Teamcenter skills to develop new cover designs and also develop critical Light Seal components.

Key Contributions:

  • Design and Development: Spearheaded the design and development of 29 components across 7 SKUs for the Vision Pro Lightseal. I successfully guided these components through the Engineering Validation Test (EVT), Design Validation Test (DVT), and Production Validation Test (PVT) stages, ensuring they met rigorous quality and design standards.

  • Prototyping and Iteration: Developed over 100 prototypes for new Apple products, facilitating executive reviews and enabling swift decision-making. This rapid prototyping approach significantly reduced time to market and aligned product direction with executive vision.

  • Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Worked closely with the Apple Industrial Design (ID) team to bring their vision to life, ensuring seamless integration of design intent into production. I collaborated with overseas suppliers, employing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and statistical control methods to maintain product quality and adherence to tolerance analyses.

  • Cross-Functional Problem Solving: Conducted Design of Experiments (DOEs) across cross-functional teams to address design and manufacturing challenges. My data-driven approach kept project schedules on track and facilitated informed decision-making.
